In an age when Climate Change and pollution are becoming increasingly important, the materials used in the bench originate from a time when skies were cleaner. However, in using reclaimed timber Cumberland have used the past to help protect the future. Looking at the materials used in the manufacture of The Bluewater Bench is like looking back in time. The Bench was hand manufactured locally by experienced craftsmen using a variety of hardwoods (Iroko and English Oak) and softwoods (Pitch Pine and Douglas Fir).
