Cumberland and Retail Design Agency, gpstudio collaborated with Marie Claire and Ocado to create the Fabled flagship store and the launch of the highly anticipated beauty brand, on London’s Tottenham Court Road. This full fit out project commenced in an empty unit and ran in line with a 12 week programme. The works included the installation of a platform lift and shaft, new staircase, glass balustrade to mezzanine level. Specialist sub contract works took place including the installation of air conditioning, plumbing, sprinklers and new electrics throughout the store. The installation of a raised floor to all 3 floors and new walls and ceilings.
Cumberland’s joinery workshop work tirelessly behind the scenes manufacturing the huge amount of bespoke joinery elements that were installed on site. The existing shopfront was retained with new Fabled signage installed. Throughout the store, digital screens and elements continually link the 3D space to Fabled’s online store. gpstudio’s conceptual idea for the two-level flagship beauty store was to create a storytelling journey for the consumer and Cumberland went above and beyond
to ensure their idea become reality.
